The Nordic PD course on Evolving PD,
September 21 to 23, 2021

With the current change in the landscape of clinical management of people with Chronic Kidney disease using Peritoneal Dialysis as a modality of kidney replacement therapy, this course is organized with the goal to establish a successful PD program, with specific focus on the current post-pandemic period. The sessions are held by Nordic and international experts who have paved the path in several aspects of Peritoneal Dialysis.

The Nordic PD course is divided into three afternoon sessions with topics of high actuality in Peritoneal Dialysis:

  • Day one is focused on the topic of removing barriers of adaptation of Home Therapy with shared best practices from the COVID-19 period from Nordics and around the world
  • Day 2 is focused on the 2020 International Society for Peritoneal Dialysis practice recommendations: Prescribing high-quality goal-directed Peritoneal Dialysis
  • Day 3 is focused on the catheter insertion guidelines from ISPD as well as shared best practice from European countries on catheter insertion program and experience from COVID-19 pandemic
